En la Asociación de Fútbol del Área de Chesterfield (CASA), equipos tales como Renacer, FAS, Unión Cantinil, Brisas de Verapaz, Necaxa, Victoria, y Guadalajara honran equipos profesionales de sus pueblos nativos en México, El Salvador, Guatemala y Honduras.

CASA es apropiado, ya que el fútbol enlaza a muchos inmigrantes con los países de origen de las decenas de miles de inmigrantes que ahora viven y trabajan y crían a sus familias en Virginia Central.

Mejicanos forman la mayoría de los equipos en la liga CASA, pero hay equipos de América Central, Perú, Argentina, Colombia y Brasil que también juegan y traen a su propia fanaticada a animar por ellos.

De acuerdo al oficial de CASA por mucho tiempo Matt Topee, de las Filipinas, muchas veces lo ven como “México en contra de todos los demás.”

“Eso es porque México es el país más grande…todos los equipos quieren ganarle a los equipos mejicanos,” él explicó.

Un español por nacimiento, Joe Sánchez (conocido por muchos amigos como “Papa CASA”), empezó la liga mas antigua de el área en el 1981 con solamente cuatro equipos.  Ahora tiene 59 escuadras, incluyendo una liga para hombres mayores de 50 años y una liga para mujeres de 18 años para arriba.
